Tour Stop 14: Command Central
The final stop on our tour. This large room houses designer Rick/Simon (off and on with CHP for twenty-odd years), managing editor Christina Palassio, publicity powerhouse Evan Munday and marketing and technology intern Kira Dreimanis. Decorated with R/S-designed posters and postcards and crammed with all manner of ephemera and ledger, book and binder, the activity in this room includes pre-press work, design, editing, publicity and grant writing. To name just a few.
In their spare time, the CHers get into all kinds of trouble. Rick is a photographer, artist and stiltdancer. Evan produces his own comic books and illustrated the novel Stripmalling, by Jon Paul Fiorentino. Tennis aficionado Christina is the co-editor of several of the books in Coach House's Toronto series and, as a sideline, is a bookmaker, running our own gambling racket. And Kira, a native of Edmonton and a new addition to the Coach House roster, is a talented icing-maker!
