On Monday, September 21, the Joyland.ca Reading Tour stops in Montreal at the Green Room (5386 St-Laurent) for an evening of literary entertainment presented in conjunction with Matrix Magazine and hosted by Joyland's Montreal editor David McGimpsey (Sitcom). The free event begins at 8 p.m.
The legendary Drawn & Quarterly flagship bookstore in Montreal (211 rue Bernard Ouest) hosts poets Matthew Tierney (The Hayflick Limit), Carmine Starnino and Molly Peacock on Tuesday, May 12. The event begins at 7 p.m.
September 30th, 2014 marks the 70th birthday of bpNichol, born Barrie Phillip Nichol in Vancouver, British Columbia. His writing is engaged with what he called ‘borderblur’: in his lifetime he wrote (somewhere between) poetry, novels, short fiction, children’s books, musical scores, comic book art, collage/assemblage, and computer texts.
