The Beach Metro News is charmed by Lemon
'Strube captures high school life brilliantly ... I found this to be perhaps the most accessible, and most successful of Strube's novels so far. Lemon is a wonderful character and a highly sympathetic narrator. The story is naturally coloured by her 'sour' outlook, but that's the book's charm. At times you want to smack some sense into her (as most parents would), while at times you are amazed by her wise-beyond-her-years perception. Strube is growing stronger and more confident with each book, and I would be surprised if Lemon is not on someone's 2009/2010 best books list. It's certainly on mine.'
