Is the socialist noir becoming the preeminent genre of literary Toronto? As nobler ideals become repressed in life and law, revenge against power and the privileged is expressed in dreamlike narratives of corruption and downfall. May 11, The Boat, 158 Augusta, Toronto. Doors 8 pm. Free.
