The full text of the story appears below:<!--newline--><!--newline-->Local author part of 'No Sleep' tour<!--newline--><!--newline-->(Nov. 8, 2006)<!--newline--><!--newline-->Ever since she was five years old, Tanya Chapman has wanted to be a writer.<!--newline--><!--newline-->The Centre Wellington native used to watch the soap-opera "Another World" with her mother and imagined herself in the Felicia Gallant role. Felicia is the boa-wearing and somewhat overbearing, romance writer.<!--newline--><!--newline-->"And there definitely are romantic bits in the books," Chapman said yesterday from Toronto, speaking of her first novel King, which she will launch at The Bookshelf tonight at 7 p.m.<!--newline--><!--newline-->"The story is about two people who are addicted to each other, and in many ways that is romantic. But it's also about understanding what that means -- as wonderful and horrible as that might be," said the 35-year-old.<!--newline--><!--newline-->Chapman will be joined by fellow authors Jenn Farrell, who wrote Sugar Bush and Other Stories and Zoe Whittall, author of The Emily Valentine Poems, as the three embark on their No Sleep 'Til K-W Tour, that also includes a reading at Mixed Media in Hamilton tomorrow night, and The Jane Bond in Waterloo on Sunday.<!--newline--><!--newline-->Evan Munday, publicist for Coach House Books that published Chapman's novel, said while the three authors have their own and distinct voices, they cover things like love, sex, trailer parks and '80s celebrities like Molly Ringwald and Axl Rose.<!--newline--><!--newline-->"I love reading with them," said Chapman of her fellow writers on the tour. "We share a simliar aesthetic -- kooky, off-the-wall and fun."<!--newline--><!--newline-->All three of the readings begin at 7 p.m.
