Stroll mentioned on CBC's Fresh Air Cross Country Bookshelf

On Saturday, May 21, CBC program 'Fresh Air' kicked off something called the Cross Country Bookshelf. Listeners are encouraged to select a list of the top 5 books that are "must reads" about any region in the country.

Joining Mary Ito to nominate 10 books for and about regions in Ontario were Daniel Klein in Thunder Bay (Daniel is the president of the Northwestern Ontario Writers Workshop and a writer of short fiction and the occasional poem himself), David Dollin in Ottawa (David has been a bookseller in Ottawa for over 40 years and currently runs his own literary special events business), and Joanne Saul in Toronto (co-owner of Type Books).

Joanne Saul included Shawn Micallef's Stroll, and spoke about the storytelling of Micallef's walking tours. You can see the entire Cross Country Bookshelf at the CBC Book Club and vote for your favourites. Another Coach House title, Andrew Wedderburn's novel The Milk Chicken Bomb, is included in the list of Alberta books.
