Shorts in Motion (featuring new Guy Maddin short) wins award
The latest short film by Guy Maddin (From The Atelier Tovar) has been awarded with the other films included in Shorts in Motion: The Art of Seduction.
Shorts in Motion: The Art of Seduction was recognized on February 13th for its groundbreaking, multi-platform content by the world's largest mobile conference. Receiving the only Canadian nomination, the short film anthology won "Best Made for Mobile Video Service" last night in Barcelona, Spain at the 12th annual Global Mobile Awards.
The international committee recognized the innovative aspects of the project, which features the two-minute works of 10 filmmakers, including Guy Maddin, Mark McKinney and Denis Villeneuve.
Shorts in Motion: The Art of Seduction was conceived in Toronto by CHUM Television's Bravo!FACT (Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent), marblemedia and Canada's National Film Board (NFB). Shorts in Motion was designed to be viewed while in motion with a hand-held device. The shorts are easily viewed on video cell phones, computers, televisions and the big screen.
