Priscila Uppal Discusses Gabe Foreman's Complete Encyclopedia on CBC's Biblio-File

In an interview on CBC's Biblio-File, critic Priscila Uppal praises Coach House poet Gabe Foreman for his creativity, compassion, rationality and randomness. Foreman's A. M. Klein Award-winning debut collection, A Complete Encyclopedia of Different Types of People, calls to mind the bizarre and whimsical alphabet readers that Uppal cherished so much as a kid:

'His collection hooked me from the beginning,' says Uppal, 'inviting the reader to shake hands with all manner of people, from adulterers to doodlers, innocent 'bystandards' to only children, saints to zookeepers. This complete resource is a must for the modern individual who balks in the face of conformity while remaining deeply attached to his fellow creatures.'
