October 9th through 11th, Coach House Books is hitting the Big Apple to celebrate its 40th year of publishing, and we're bringing four of our esteemed poets for the ride. Over three nights, in three separate events, Coach House will bring a taste of one of Canada's best literary presses to New York City. See below for all the event listings.
October 9 - Jon Paul Fiorentino reads at The Poetry Project, New York
Jon Paul Fiorentino, author of Hello Serotonin and The Theory of the Loser Class, reads at New York City's Poetry Project, a reading series at St.Mark's Church. He is joined by Paul Foster Johnson, author of Refrains/Unworkings.

October 10 - belladonna* Reading Series featuring Margaret Christakos and a.rawlings
The October edition of the belladonna* Reading Series, a New York reading series that promotes the work of adventurous, experimental women writers, features Coach House's Margaret Christakos (Sooner, Excessive Love Prostheses) and angela rawlings (Wide Slumber for Lepidopterists).

Coach House Books 40th Anniversary Celebration
From its early days of printing draft-dodger pamphlets and commemorative flags to nurturing the literary careers of some of Canada’s literary icons to being the birthplace of current electronic publishing technology, Coach House has been the headquarters and meeting place for creative figures of every stripe.
On October 11, join Coach House Books in celebrating their fortieth anniversary (one year late – we were busy) at New York City’s Poets House. Coach House authors Sina Queyras (Lemon Hound), Margaret Christakos (Sooner), angela rawlings (Wide Slumber for Lepidopterists) and Jon Paul Fiorentino (The Theory of the Loser Class) present a night of witty and astonishing poetic performances.
