Michael Blouin wins the ReLit Award!

Coach House Books is thrilled to announced that Michael Blouin's debut novel, Chase and Haven, has won the 2009 ReLit Award in the novel category! Congratulations, Michael!

Chase and Haven, the story of two siblings who survive a difficult childhood and then try to navigate an uneasy adulthood, is told in an almost Cubist style. Blouin was announced as a winner of the ReLit Award on Sunday, September 20, 2009, along with Lisa Foad (author of The Night is a Mouth, winner for short fiction) and Maurice Mierau (author of Fear Not, the poetry winner).

Blouin is also shortlisted for the Amazon.ca First Novel Award, which will be announced on Wednesday, September 23.
