Local Motion editors in the Toronto Star

The editors of Local Motion recently ate dinner with Corey Mintz of the Toronto Star and talked about the book, carrots and civic engagement.

'Meslin, Christina Palassio and Alana Wilcox have put together a book on the subject, due out Nov. 16 from Coach House Books. Local Motion is the sixth, and last, of their uTOpia series.

'We tried to create a how-to guide but without it being a how-to guide,' is how Meslin sums up the book. 'A lot of activism is really street-based and DIY because people don't know what the alternative is. And politicians are really inaccessible.'
