The Inquisition Yours shortlisted for BC Book Prize!

On Thursday, March 10, the list of finalists for all seven categories of the 2011 BC Book Prizes was released.

Coach House was thrilled to see Jen Currin's latest poetry collection, the stunning The Inquisition Yours, is one of five titles shortlisted for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize, awarded to the author of the best work of poetry). The Inquisition Yours is a book that Xtra said, 'locks in [Currin's] reputation. This is a new poetry for a new century.' Congratulations, Jen!

Other finalists in the poetry category include Ken Belford (Decompositions), George Bowering (My Darling Nellie Gray), Stephen Collis (On the Material) and Eve Joseph (The Secret Signature of Things). The winners of the BC Book Prizes will be announced at the Lieutenant Governor's BC Book Prizes Gala on April 21 in Vancouver.
