Gabe Foreman and David McGimpsey appear in National Post's list of Best Poetry Books of 2011

On December 31, the National Post's poetry reviewer Michael Lista made his selection for the best poetry books of 2011. Coach House was thrilled to have published two among his shortlist of seven titles: Gabe Foreman's A Complete Encyclopedia of Different Types of People and David McGimpsey's Li'l Bastard.

Of Gabe Foreman's debut collection, Lista says:

'As weird as it is generous, Foreman’s debut delights at every turn. Proof that serious poetry can be silly as hell.'

And of David McGimpsey's Li'l Bastard, he says:

'For my money, the best book of the year. A major poet at the height of his powers. Hilarious and heart-breaking and just plain old brilliant.'
