Dodds and McGimpsey among CBC.ca's top ten English-language poets
In a post on CBC.ca/Arts, Barbara Carey names her top ten among Canadian poets writing in English, 'as a prelude to this year's Griffin Prize for Poetry ceremony (June 3).' Jeramy Dodds (whose Crabwise to the Hounds is on the Griffin shortlist) and David McGimpsey (Sitcom) are on the list. Carey praised Dodds's 'virtuoso turns of phrase and vivid, surprising images' and McGimpsey's '[hilarious] mashup of kitschy pop culture and high-toned literary references.'
