Coach House author and Trillium Book Award finalist Cordelia Strube (Lemon) recently joined French-language Trillium finalist Ryad Assani-Razaki (Deux cercles) for a conversation about their books, their characters and what brought them to writing.
'Cordelia Strube: My first novel began out of necessity ... Writing it saved me. Writing novels gives me the illusion that I have control in an out of control world. It makes my small sphere manageable, and gives it focus. When I don’t write, I feel disconnected, without purpose.'
