Oct 21 | Suzette Mayr Takes it Back to the Classroom at the Vancouver International Writers Festival

October 21, 2011 - 10:00am - 11:30am

Suzette Mayr's Monoceros is as much a critique of social values as it is an exploration of the high school environment: its allegiances, its terrors, its strange, fragmented community.

At the Vancouver International Writers Festival, Mayr will read alongside two fellow authors of schoolyard fiction, Elizabeth Hay and Alexander Maksik, as part of a Friday-morning expo called "School Days."

For those of you who can't make it because of work (or school), be sure to catch Mayr's other reading on the Saturday following.

Tickets are $17 / $8.50 for student groups.
