Oct 18 | Five Good Ideas Book Launch

October 18, 2011 - 6:00pm - 10:00pm

The collaborative Coach House / Maytree anthology, Five Good Ideas: Practical Strategies for Non-Profit Success, evolved from a series of lunch-time discussions that Maytree hosted over the past eight years. Fittingly, the book's October launch will revisit its conversational origins.

Expect live interviews with both of the editors: Maytree Chairman Alan Broadbent, one of Canada's leading advocates for urban development, and Maytree President Ratna Omidvar, whose activism for workplace diversity and immigration reform awarded her a 2006 Order of Canada.

Several contributors will also be there as part of a panel discussion with the CBC's Jane Farrow. These contributors include Alok Mukherjee (Toronto Police Services Board), Rick Powers (Rotman School of Management), Carol Goar (Toronto Star), Jennifer Lynn (Lynn Communications) and Robin Cardozo (Ontario Trillium Foundation).

Schedule:

6:00 - doors open
6:45 - interview with Alan Broadbent and Ratna Omidvar
7:00 - panel discussion with Five Good Ideas contributors
7:30 - reception upstairs

RSVP to the launch on Eventbrite!
