March 11 | Gabe Foreman Reads at Irving Layton Tribute in Montreal

March 11, 2012 - 7:00pm - 10:00pm

On March 11th, Montreal poets will get together to pay tribute to one of their own: the polemical, dearly beloved Irving Layton.

Expect readings of Layton's work from Coach House poet Gabe Foreman, whose inventive debut collection, A Complete Encyclopedia of Different Types of People, would have made Layton proud.

Jason Camlot, Gillian Sze and seven other local poets will bring their voices to the stage.

There will also be live musical and theatrical interpretations of Layton's work, as well as archival footage and rare books available for your perusal.

Admission is free, but seating is limited. Reservations can be made at info@poetryquebec.com.
