Mar 30 | Gary Barwin reads at Poetry NOW: The third annual Battle of the Bards

March 30, 2011 - 7:30pm - 10:00pm

Authors at Harbourfront brings back its popular poetry competition to feature 20 of Canada’s upcoming and established poets. One of the poets will receive an automatic invitation to read at the 32nd annual International Festival of Authors and an ad for their book in NOW!

Coach House poet Gary Barwin (The Porcupinity of the Stars) will be representing at the event. Come out and show your support for him!

This year's judges include Toronto Poet Laureate Dionne Brand, Authors at Harbourfront Centre Director Geoffrey Taylor and Authors at Harbourfront Centre Artistic Associate Jen Tindall. The readings will be hosted by 2009 competition winner Jacob McArthur Mooney (Folk).

Poetry NOW is presented in partnership with NOW Magazine.
