22nd Trillium Book Award readings (invitation only)

The Ontario Media Development Corporation and Authors at Harbourfront Centre present the Trillium Book Award readings and reception at Harbourfront's Brigantine Room (235 Queen's Quay West) on Monday, June 15, 2009. The invitation-only event features brief readings by each of the finalists for this year's award and is hosted by CBC News' mark Kelley.

Among the readers will be Jeramy Dodds, whose Crabwise to the Hounds is nominated for the Trillium Book Award for Poetry, and Coach House poetry editor Kevin Connolly, whose volume Revolver is nominated for the Trillium Book Award. Stan Bevington gets Lifetime Achievement Award from the Alcuin Society

Coach House founder and master printer Stan Bevington is this year’s recipient of the Robert R. Reid lifetime achievement award for excellence in book art. The award is given annually by the Alcuin Society, a non-profit dedicated to preserving and celebrating Canadian contributions to print culture.

Previous Robert R. Reid recipients include former Coach House typesetter and designer Glenn Goluska.
