Sept 10 | Gary Barwin at Hamilton's Supercrawl Showcase

September 10, 2011 - 1:00pm - 11:45pm

Hamilton, as everyone knows, is on the up-and-up. And at the centre of the new literary arts scene is Supercrawl, an epic thirteen-hour romp that moves from venue to venue, performance to performance, showcasing the richness of the region's artistic community.

In addition to big-name acts like Broken Social Scene and Junior Boys, as well as an intriguing collaboration between Basia Bulat and the Hamilton Synmphony Orchestra, the event will feature performances by Coach House poet and musician Gary Barwin, author of the recent collection The Procupinity of the Stars.

Barwin will be performing alongside of poet, journalist, and bpNichol Chapbook Award-Winner Chris Pannell, acclaimed Hamilton-based dub poet Klyde Broox, and Jeff Seffinga, master of both the haiku and the long poem (and many things in between).
