Feb 16 | Shawn Micallef at Toronto's Kiever Synagogue

February 16, 2012 - 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Shawn Micallef's off-kilter guidebook, Stroll, has been credited by adoring readers for opening their eyes to the intriguing and colouful histories embedded in Toronto's architecture. Appropriately, Micallef will participate in a panel discussion entitled 'Lost and Found Spaces: Buildings, cities and the stories they tell,' in the company of urban photographer David Kaufman and architectural historian Sara Ferdman Tauben, who'll be launching her new book, Traces of the Past: Montreal’s Early Synagogues.

The event is presented by Makom, a progressive, Toronto-based Jewish community organization.

All are welcome. Expect refreshments, music and book signings after the talk.

Admission is $5 at the door.
