To cap off National Poetry Month, Talonbooks, Freehand Books, fillingStation and Coach House Books have teamed up to bring Calgary's poetry fans 'Rhyme 'em, Cowboy,' a celebration of new poetry at The Palomino on Thursday, April 29.

This event, hosted by Christian Bök, will feature five great poets reading from brand-new books and the brand-new issue of Calgary's own fillingStation. Outstanding readings will be capped off by a musical set from Savk. And Pages Books on Kensington will be on hand with copies of the poets' books and copies of fillingStation.

Stan Bevington gets Lifetime Achievement Award from the Alcuin Society

Coach House founder and master printer Stan Bevington is this year’s recipient of the Robert R. Reid lifetime achievement award for excellence in book art. The award is given annually by the Alcuin Society, a non-profit dedicated to preserving and celebrating Canadian contributions to print culture.

Previous Robert R. Reid recipients include former Coach House typesetter and designer Glenn Goluska.
