Apr 20 | Spring Poetry Tra La featuring Gary Barwin and Helen Guri
April is National Poetry Month. And on Wednesday, April 20, Ben McNally Books' Fine Print Reading Series will present six poets representing three Canadian indie presses at the Dora Keogh (141 Danforth Avenue) for the Poetry Tra La. The event will feature readings from some of Canada's finest poets, including books by Coach House superstars Gary Barwin (The Porcupinity of the Stars) and Helen Guri (Match), as well as Vehicule Press poets Linda Besner (The Id Kid) and Asa Boxer (Skullduggery) and Gaspereau Press authors George Elliot Clarke (Red) and Sean Howard (Incitements). The Dora Keogh promises to be the epicentre of excellent poetry on April 20.
