The morning of April 1, the League of Canadian Poets announced its shortlists for the 2010 Pat Lowther and Gerald Lampert Memorial Awards, and Coach House Books published one title on each distinguished list.
Kate Hall's debut collection The Certainty Dream was shortlisted for the Gerald Lampert Award. The Lampert, given in the memory of arts administrator Gerald Lampert, recognizes the best first book of poetry published by a Canadian in the preceding year.
Coach House author Matthew Tierney is among the winners of the 2013 Trillium Book Awards, Ontario’s prestigious literature awards. Tierney received the Trillium Book Award for Poetry in the English Language category, which carries a $10,000 prize for his third poetry collection, Probably Inevitable.
