Globe and Mail Books columnist Judith Fitzgerald listed her top ten poetry collections of 2011, and among the books was Jenny Sampirisi's debut poetry book, Croak, a frog-and-girl opera of Beckettian proportions. It shared the honour with such titles as Ken Babstock's Methodist Hatchet, Sue Goyette's Outskirts and Phil Hall's Killdeer.
The City of Ottawa announced on November 12 that for his stunning book of poetry, A Pretty Sight, he had won the 2014 Archibald Lampman Award and the Ottawa Book Award in the English fiction category. Congrats, David!
