Globe and Mail Books columnist Judith Fitzgerald listed her top ten poetry collections of 2011, and among the books was Jenny Sampirisi's debut poetry book, Croak, a frog-and-girl opera of Beckettian proportions. It shared the honour with such titles as Ken Babstock's Methodist Hatchet, Sue Goyette's Outskirts and Phil Hall's Killdeer.
Coach House author Matthew Tierney is among the winners of the 2013 Trillium Book Awards, Ontario’s prestigious literature awards. Tierney received the Trillium Book Award for Poetry in the English Language category, which carries a $10,000 prize for his third poetry collection, Probably Inevitable.
