damian lopes

Born in the UK and raised in Canada, damian lopes traces his family over much of the globe, including the UK, New Zealand, East Africa, India and Portugal. His first book of poetry, towards the quiet (ECW Press, 1997), was nominated for the Gerald Lampert Award for best first book of poetry. He is also the author of clay lamps & fighter kites (The Mercury Press, 2000), the poetry-multimedia website Project X 1497-1999, and co-editor of A Handful of Grams: Goan Proverbs (Caju Press). He runs Bitwalla Design, specializing in literary websites. He now lives in Barrie, Ontario.
