| (Rosalba and Jacques are separated by a gulf – she at the back, he at the front. Andrew lights the scene from the centre. Owen and Mark L remain near Mark J and Jason remains standing behind Rosalba.) | |
| JACQUES: | (talking to Rosalba but looking out into the audience – he is panicked from having just killed Him) Yeah, uh-huh, okay. Okay. DONE! |
| ROSALBA: | Done? |
| JACQUES: | Done. Done, I’ve done it. (frantically pats his body in search of the gun) I can’t find the gun! |
| ROSALBA: | What? |
| JACQUES: | THE GUN! I CAN’T FIND THE GUN! |
| ROSALBA: | Where did you have it last? |
| JACQUES: | When I shot him. |
| ROSALBA: | (losing her cool) WHERE DID YOU PUT IT?! |
| JACQUES: | Uh, I, uh … |
| ROSALBA: | Yes? |
| JACQUES: | I uh, I think I, uh … |
| ROSALBA: | You think you what? |
| JACQUES: | I put it, uh, (with amazement) I put it in his pants. |
| ROSALBA: | (incredulous) You murdered a man then put the weapon in his pocket?! |
| JACQUES: | (amazed) I put it in his pocket? |
| ROSALBA: | What’s the matter with you? |
| JACQUES: | I don’t remember putting it in his pocket. Who told you that? |
| JACQUES: | (During the following dialogue Owen and Mark L cross between Rosalba and Jacques, meet with Jason directly between them. Andrew illuminates the meeting of the three men, for a moment forgetting about Rosalba and Jacques.) |
| ROSALBA: | You did! |
| JACQUES: | I did? |
| ROSALBA: | You idiot! |
| JACQUES: | When did I tell you that? |
| ROSALBA: | JACQUES! |
| JACQUES: | In his pants. |
| ROSALBA: | What? |
| JACQUES: | I said in his pants. |
| ROSALBA: | His pants? |
| JACQUES: | His pants. |
| ROSALBA: | You … what? |
| JACQUES: | Put the gun in his pants. |

| (The brief meeting between the Boys should be over. Andrew resumes illuminating the dialogue and Owen and Mark L head to the mike area while Jason heads stage left behind Mark J.) | |
